Photovcarve is 3D design software that enables anyone to turn 2D designs into dimensional signs or art pieces - all without having to spend months learning how to carve wood. The software follows an innovative new approach by turning CAD data into vectors for carving on CNC machines. It completely eliminates the tedium of plotting curves manually and allows for easy resizing without any loss in quality. Since the software is based on vector data, it's possible to continue working on an image even while it's being cut. The same results can be achieved in less time and with less effort than by hand. The software is self-contained and does not require any connection to a PC or network since it runs locally on the computer. While carving, the image remains fluid and no tedious steps such as carving contours are required. The user can work on more than one image at a time and easily switch between them when they're finished.
